Christi Springfield, PT, DPT

Board Secretary

Christi Springfield has worked in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy since 1998, focusing on pelvic health physical therapy since 2016. She earned a degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1998, as well as a Doctorate from Simmons University in 2006 and a Perinatal Health Specialist certification in 2023 through Enhanced Recovery After Delivery.

Christi currently serves as an innovative pelvic health physical therapist within an OB-GYN practice, treating GYN patients throughout the lifespan, with interests in obstetric as well as perimenopausal and menopausal pelvic health. She especially dedicates time and resources to perinatal patients and advancing maternal health initiatives, focusing on improving outcomes with postpartum recovery and eliminating healthcare disparities for the peripartum population–especially for those whose maternal risks are greater due to social determinants of health.

Passionate about pelvic health, Christi believes in the importance of providing early skilled pelvic therapy care, before and after deliveries, to create a supportive environment for new parents. Christi’s dedication to promoting pelvic health awareness and advocating for improved maternal care underscores her commitment to both her profession and her community. Christi is honored to serve on the Board of the Pelvic Health Fund, advancing its mission to ensure access to state-of-the-art pelvic health products, regardless of economic status.
